Our Story

How we started & our mission.

Founded by Sherina & Nathan Collier Beet Street Juicery started as a desire to help others. Too late in Sherina's Fathers fight with cancer, did they learn about the power of raw nutrition. The years of cancer treatments had already wrecked Kennys body and immune system before raw juice was introducted into his diet. The couple genuinely believes had they raw juiced sooner, Sherina's Father would still be alive today.

In the aftermath, Sherina & Nathan were determined to plan a business, centered around nutrition assistance and education. From their experience, and other loved ones experience juicing, the plan was right in front of them. Shannon Monroe, a close friend, worked with Sherina & Nathan to create the right balance between being a juice bar, and a health food store.

The idea turned into reality after successfully crowdfunding via Kickstarter, through a month long campaign to meet a 6,000 dollar goal. Sherina with the help of Shannon, campaigned all over the city, flyering, making juice samples and compelled enough support to reach the crowdsource funding goal. After much planning, and with the successful interest in the business through Kickstarter, Beet Street opened in late November of 2014.

Beet Street Juicery offers 100% organic smothies, cold-press juices, and yummy treats that will treat your body well. Beet Street's cold-press juices are pressed daily, and each blend is freshly poured for maximum freshness. Besides being an all organic shop, Beet Street carries a selection of healthful vegan friendly snacks, salads, and spinach wraps.

"Beet Street Juicery is a tribute to my father Kenny Miller who passed of malnutrition and cancer in March of 2013. As a family we learned a lot through the process and only wish we had known all that we do now to have had the chance for a different outcome. While we were not able to save my dad, we work with the hope that what we provide will be able to improve the lives of those in similar experience, those with other ailments, and preventatively."
